Muraenidae –Why do you like it? (I don’t like it and a famous story in japan for “foreign scuba diver”)-

It is a famous strange difference between Japanese and the foreign (non-Japanese) diver.  It says Japanese diver don’t like Muraenidae but foreign ones like it.

My friend tell a story of him when he went to diving in foreign country (unfortunately I forget where it was).  He tells me “foreign divers like Muraenidae.  When I was diving, my body suddenly come to me to tell he finds the Muraenidae.  And ask to take photo.”  It is famous story in japan, foreign diver like Muraenidae.  It means most Japanese diver cannot understand why you (foreign scuba diver) love Muraenidae.  For Japanese, Muraenidae is always regarded as not so cool, not pretty, not like to be delicious one and it looks dangerous (he open his mous! His may attack me!!).  Actually it looks like snake. 

              I also agree, I also don’t like Muraenidae.  But I don’t know whether  this story is true or not.  Everybody say “foreign divers like Muraenidae”.  But which foreign?? US? Europian? Italian? Australians? How was other Asian person like Chinese.  Yes, I am looking to see the “foreign dive” who come to me to take a photo.
